Exploring technostress in disruptive teaching practices

Purpose In this study, the authors explore teachers' experiences of work during pandemic using analytic lens technostress. More specifically, investigate how sudden transition to distance education induces technostress among teachers in relation their teaching practice. Design/methodology/approach The data gathering method constitutes a questionnaire that explores situation was affected by shifting education. 286 Swedish answered open-ended questionnaire. Findings results demonstrate creators, strains and coping strategies are expressed practice an extreme case digitalization. Originality/value contribute on suggesting theoretical concept “technorest” shed light alternative effects digitalization Furthermore, give examples technorest creators which term “techno-shields” “techno-security”. could be interesting enhance understanding practices cultivate more favorable situation.
